Get Spun was Awesome

So, a few days late is better than never, right?

Last Saturday Symeon North came out to play with fiber with us as Wild 'N Wooly Farms. She showed us some wonderful techniques like how to spin locks into the yarn as we go, and how to do thick and thin yarns. The techniques are outlined in the book "Get Spun" released by Interweave in early May 2010. You can get your own copy at Here were some of the photo highlights from the afternoon!

Symeon is spinning locks into her yarn here, she is using a Ladybug wheel, not her usual, but she said it worked fairly well, not getting caught too much on the locks.

Here is everyone spinning together, Symeon is over in the right showing us how to spin in a thick and thin style. This looks so easy when she does it, and she is a great teacher.

These are all the products and projects from the book, unfortunately, many of the items that Symeon spent her time and energy on were cut from the book. So check them out here!

Lynn did up these great cakes, the looked as great as the tasted...mmmmm
